5 Wedding Invitations Ideas for 2021

This is a sponsored post by Basic Invite. All reviews and opinions expressed in this post are based on my personal view.

I remember when Matlock and I were planning our wedding and one of my favorite parts was invitations! I loved giving our guests a flavor of what to expect at our wedding with the style of our invitations. But I also remember feeling a little frustrated because it was hard to find the inspiration I was looking for and a company who offered what I was looking for. So, today I wanted to share 5 wedding invitations ideas that will help you with your wedding invitations process!

1. Don’t be afraid to play with color

Invitations don’t have to be a traditional white! Whether your main invitation is the main color of your wedding, or you incorporate your wedding colors in other parts of your invitation (like the details card or RSVP card), your invites will stand out and be unique! Plus, this will set the tone for the wedding day and hint at what your guests can expect the day-of.

2. Try an all-in-one seal and send invitation

Whether you’re sticking to a budget for your wedding invitations or you want to simplify your invitations, these all-in-one invitations are for you. They have the main invitation and RSVP card attached and all your guests have to do is take off the RSVP card (it’s perforated, so it’s simple and easy), fill out their information, and drop it in the mail box! Easy for you and easy for your guests šŸ˜‰

3. Use pockets to include details of the wedding day

This is probably one of my favorite ways to send wedding invitations to guests! If you love to be organized, you’ll love these cute pocket invitations. On the left side of the mini-folder is your main invitation and on the right side is a pocket that holds enclosure cards for the directions, RSVP and other information your guests should know like hotels in the area. It’s the perfect presentation for your guests!

4. Stand out with clear invitations

A popular trend at the moment is clear invitations. This won’t work for every wedding, but if you have an elegant and modern wedding, then you’ll love these invitations! For RSVP cards, I’d recommend sticking with paper to keep things easy for your guests.

5. Use templates for ease

If getting a custom design isn’t in the cards for you, and you’re not 100% the DIY type, then I’d recommend using a template. There are a ton of different themes you can go with, such as rustic wedding invites templates, elegant, modern, etc.

Which, brings me to my next tip. I highly recommend using a website that will allow you to easily customize these templates. One of my favorites is Basic Invite. They have great prices and have a ton of variety.

Here’s why we love Basic Invite and why we recommend them:

Free Wedding Websites – Basic Invite’s wedding websites are completely customizable! They’re mobile friendly and super easy to use. You can instantly upload all of your wedding details, along with images, and a convenient map with directions for your guests. Choose from 180 custom colors, and a design suite to match your wedding invitations!

Almost Unlimited Colors – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. You can change the color of each element on a card, with over 180 different color options. The card can be exactly how you want it, down to the littlest detail. This is what sets them apart from any other online stationery company and is their biggest draw.

Custom SamplesĀ – Basic Invite allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their invitation so they can see the cardā€™s paper quality and how it will print before they have to place their final order.

Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes – Basic Invite is just as colorful with their envelopes as they are with their invitations. Customers can choose from over 40 different envelope colors so that they can make their invitation stand out even before it is opened. All of their envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be closed quickly and easily.

OverĀ 900 Wedding Invitation Sets – Each of Basic Invite’s wedding invitations is part of a set. They have all the wedding stationery you need, like save the dates, wedding invitations, enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs, and even matching thank you cards!

Free Address Collection Service – Use their free address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. Share a link via social media or email, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing.

Seal & Send Wedding Invitations – Basic Invite’s seal and send wedding invitations are an all-in-one wedding invitation with a tear-off RSVP postcard included! The Seal & Send is their newest collection and brides are LOVING them. Currently, they offer them in over 30 designs including their ever-popular foil options, and, like their other products, they are customizable. What’s special about the Seal & Sends is that guest’s addresses are printed on the front of each invitation so no envelope is necessary! All you have to do is share a link, collect guest addresses, and upload them onto your design. Once you receive your order all you have to do is add postage, fold your invites, and secure them with a sticker! Simple and easy.

I’ve personally used Basic Invite for our thank you cards for your own wedding and really loved how simply and easy everything was! You can check them out on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and their website.
