Part 1: The One Where He Never Texted
Part 2: The One Where She Didn’t Kiss Him
Riding in her taxi, trying to dodge all of the driver’s small talk, Kelly was texting her close friend, Julie.
“I’m coming over!” the text read.
As soon as she got to Julie’s, she ran up the stairs to Julie’s apartment at 2am.
“How was it??” Julie asked.
“It was amazing. I felt like I had known him my whole life!”
And as she gave all the details, Kelly knew that she didn’t just like him. She like liked him. Big time.
The next day, Kelly couldn’t help but feel like it was all just a dream. And based on how these types of things went in the past, she figured they’d text for a couple of weeks and then he’d all of a sudden ghost her. She was POSITIVE of it. Because every guy seemed to do that… right?
But to Kelly’s surprise, two weeks went by and he was still texting her.
And four weeks went by and… he was still texting her.
Every day for three months they texted each other, snap chatted, and Instagram DMed. And when we say every day, we mean every. day.
They talked about anything and everything. From music to fitness to how to get more Instagram likes (lol).
They got to know each other more and more, and Kelly couldn’t help but wonder if this was going to turn into something – after all, they couldn’t just text each other every day forever.
So, in June, Kelly had an itch to go somewhere. She was trying to decide between Los Angeles, a place she’s always secretly loved (I mean, mountains AND the beach? Yes please!) or Tampa, a place that was like a second home with several of her friends. One city could change her entire life and career… while the other could land her an awesome relationship and permanent vacation spot. Both had its risks… what if she goes to LA and fails? What if she takes a chance on a guy she hardly knows and that fails?
After a couple of weeks of writing out pros and cons lists (yes, I love writing a good pros and cons list lol) she finally decided on…
