It was such a pleasure meeting Amy and Zach for their engagement session this past Saturday!

As we were walking from location to location, Matlock and I asked Amy and Zach about their relationship and their life. And whenever I talk to couples who are engaged, I love getting to know more about how they met, how their first date went, and all the details about the proposal.

Some people may think it’s odd that I like to learn so much about something so personal, but to me it’s meaningful. We’re documenting such a special season of a couple’s life and I like to think that knowing more about their relationship helps us serve them better and capture better images.

You see, Amy and Zach have an amazing relationship and story and it all started when they met while they were in college at St. Augustine studying in the same field.

Right off the bat they had a ton of things in common just from that fact alone.

And the best thing that we witnessed from being around these two is how comfortable they are with one another. We could tell that they’re not just a couple who are engaged…

they’re engaged to their best friend.

And I think Amy and Zach got tired of me squealing every 10 minutes saying, “omg you guys are SO cute!” But can you blame me??

Amy and Zach, we had so much fun meeting you two and capturing these photos for your engagement session! You guys really are a perfect match for each other and we’re so excited for you to get married! Oh, and don’t forget to check out Hyde Park for a date night one day – we think you’ll love it there 🙂
