The Red Lion Inn Wedding in Cohasset, Massachusetts

Darcy and Ben’s cozy and rainy wedding day at The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, Massachusetts was beautiful! The charm of the historic venue combined with their beautiful church ceremony and a warm, cozy reception created a day filled with love, laughter and memories.

Although rain is often considered a hiccup for most, I’d like to encourage couples to not fret if its forecasted to rain on their wedding day – and Darcy and Ben’s wedding is my best example as to why. While it rained throughout the day, their joy and happiness weren’t effected. Rather than letting the rain damper the mood, they decided to embrace the weather. Their ceremony took place in their church adorned with an abundance of flowers from Petal and Wren, and the Red Lion Inn’s reception hall was expertly transformed into a warm and inviting space by Katydid Events, sheltering guests from the weather. And when it came time for their portraits, we chose to stay under coverings as much as possible as well as adventure out with a big umbrella – which made their portraits even more beautiful, in my opinion!

One of my favorite elements of their reception decor was something unique and unexpected – fruit! Darcy and Ben opted for a playful decor choice by incorporating fruit into their reception design. Along with beautiful floral arrangements, each table had a variety of fresh fruit like grapes, pomegranate, figs and berries. The addition of fruit added freshness and texture, creating dynamic visual appeal.

At the end of the day, Darcy, Ben and their guests will have beautiful memories of their wedding day that have now been preserved on digital and film; we are so glad they chose us to be a part of their day.
