You may remember Megan and Christian from a previous engagement session at Seaport in Boston that we posted not too long ago. Lucky for us, they decided to do a second engagement session in Sarasota, Florida!
When Megan told me she wanted to rent a vintage car for her engagement session, I couldn’t hide my excitement! One of the tips we give our clients for their engagement session is to think outside the box to make it uniquely yours. Whether that’s renting a vintage car, asking your uncle if he can sail you around while we take photos of you on it, or as simple as bringing props for a picnic, these extras can make a big difference in your engagement photos and sets them apart from others.
Along with that, I love when clients choose to incorporate something that’s meaningful to them. Later on in Megan and Christian’s engagement session, we drove over to a nearby beach and captured photos of them tossing a football back and forth and taking photos of each other with their disposable camera. Christian is a football coach, so it just made sense to have that detail be a part of their images. Other great ideas can be including your dog, choosing a location that’s meaningful, wearing a specific piece of clothing that is sentimental, etc. You can also take into account your profession or hobbies, like what Christian and Megan did. You’re a pilot? Let’s get photos at a hangar with a plane! You both love to sail? Let’s get on a yacht. The possibilities are truly endless.
With all of this in mind, Megan and Christian knocked out this exact tip out of the park. Both of their engagement sessions are meaningful and unique to them and their relationship. We’re proud to share some highlights from their second engagement session with us!
